WEST FORK WHEATED BOURBON

WHEATED SMALL BATCH Straight Bourbon is an Indiana-made, grain-to-glass bourbon whiskey bottled without chill filtration. A wheat-centric bourbon that is soft and smooth with hints of vanilla and caramel. Aged no less than 4 years in large format new charred American oak barrels. This bourbon has a sweeter touch with rich caramel and goes well neat, on ice, with a splash of water, or in your favorite bourbon-based cocktails. With its mellow profile and lingering notes of warm vanilla, it promises a refined yet approachable experience for both seasoned bourbon drinkers and those new to the spirit.

In the 19th century, the Hamer Family operated a renowned whiskey distillery in Lawrence County, IN, known for its high-quality product sold as far as New Orleans. The brand, Old Hamer, faded with time but has been revived by West Fork Whiskey, dedicated to crafting exceptional Indiana whiskey. The bourbon mash bill—99% corn and 1% malted barley—mirrors or closely resembles that used by the Hamer family, making it a fitting tribute to Indiana's whiskey heritage.

OLD HAMER 80 PROOF

Featuring the “Old Hamer Standard” mash bill of 99% corn, and 1% malted barley, the 80 proof epitomizes a sweeter, softer bourbon compared to traditional three or four grain mash bills. Aged for a minimum of 4 years in 53-gallon new charred American oak barrels, this bourbon has aromas of stone fruit, lemon grass, leather and caramel that jump from the glass. On the palate, soft notes of cherry, sweet cream, and vanilla are followed by caramelized sugar, subtle licorice and oak which perfectly round out the finish. A light and easy, daily drinker.

OLD HAMER 100 PROOF

It epitomizes a sweeter, softer bourbon compared to traditional three or four grain mash bills. Aged for a minimum of 4 years in 53-gallon new charred American oak barrels, this bourbon has aromas of stone fruit, lemon grass, leather and caramel that jump from the glass. On the palate, soft notes of cherry, sweet cream, and vanilla are followed by caramelized sugar, subtle licorice and oak which perfectly round out the finish. We think this whiskey is damn near perfect.

OLD HAMER CASK STRENGTH

Featuring the “Old Hamer Standard” mash bill of 99% corn, and 1% malted barley, it is a softer sweeter presentation of cask strength bourbon compared to traditional three or four grain mash bills. Aged for a minimum of 4 years in 53-gallon new charred American oak barrels, this barrel proof delicacy ranges from 115-120 proof depending on the batch. On the nose, rich aromas of cherry, baking spice, toasted marshmallow, and oak jump from the glass. On the palate, proof is balanced by soft sweet vanilla, plum and cherry notes. Brown sugar and subtle oak are perfectly balanced to round out the finish.

HUGH HAMER RUM FINISH

If sweet, strong & smooth bourbon is what you are after then here you'll find it! On the palette sweet molasses, subtle persimmon pudding, & cane sugar wrestle rum spice and caramel balanced by oak on the finish. This rum finished barrel adds both sweet white & spiced rum characteristics to our delectable Hamer high corn recipe.

HUGH HAMER DOUBLE OAKED

Want more spice?  You got it. From some of our finest Hamer high corn recipe comes an oak bomb in the best of ways. Freshly charred oak and spicy dark chocolate on the nose precedes oak, cherry, and subtle cinnamon on the pallet. Pepper and pleasant dry oak finish out what is sure to be one of the finest double oaks around.
